Transformation Tuesday

The weeks Transformation Tuesday is here! This week we tackled a sad and worn out sideboard with lots of character and more importantly lots of potential. This is a customers commission and she wanted something timeless and classic to go with her country style interiors. This piece has been tackled a few times and had many colour combos in its lifetime. So its time to transform it into something that will stand the test of time. I love all styles of sideboards. They can look great in a hallway , kitchen , dinning room or nursery and usually offer bundles of storage.

After Transformation DETAIL DETAIL

This piece will be back at home in an open plan kitchen area. We went for a nice Duck Egg shade, to compliment the grey kitchen walls and popped in some of the detail in a cream not only does this tie in the cream kitchen, It also breaks the duck egg colour. Changing the handles to a gold also brings in a touch of elegance! You could also add gold leaf to the edge to give it an extra texture if you wanted! This one is just left plain on the inside, but a pop of colour on the inside would be a fun surprise.
